The majority of times when I put homebrew stuff through the Super Card v2.51 converter tool, the output file is 0k. This includes moonshell, pointyremote, etc.

Next gripe... in the Options tab, enabling options such as compress or enable restart seem to do nothing. When I flip back to the Game List tab, it will still say NO in the "compress?" cell next to each game.

Is it just me or is everyone having these problems??

Hi you don't need to patch homebrew - just make sure you get a ds.gba version and rename it to .nds, it should just run then. Also it isn't clear from your post if you're talking about DS/GBA but the compression only works for GBA roms atm.

thanks for the great info. Moonshell says it doesnt support running .gba or .dsq files.. any ideas? My 1st ever time running moonshell.  =]

whoa you got it all wrong...
patching is for official games, not homebrew.
when you download moonshell you need to append a loader or get a .ds.gba version rename it to .nds and it'll work.

QuoteMoonshell says it doesnt support running .gba or .dsq files..
Moonshell has the ability to start other homebrew when moonshell is loaded.
But this is only supported with .nds files.
This has got nothing to do with getting it to work, it's just a feature.

To recap: get a .ds.gba version of moonshell, rename it to .nds and put it on the cf/sd card. start it via the menu and voila, it works.

P.S. If you can't find a .ds.gba version you can make one yourself out of the .nds file. search for "append loader" and you'll find it.

You don't really need to compress anyway, homebrew are tiny compared to real games.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

RowaN

so, from moonshell, you are not able to launch commercial games (like you can in pogoshell)?
