New Zelda Game Announced For The DS

It was just announced that a new Zelda game for the DS will be released THIS YEAR called: The Legend of Zelda:Phantom Hourglass. It will be cel-shaded like Zelda: The Wind Waker for the GC. Streaming video of in game footage here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=rWiHDkS7Zi4

I can't wait for it.. But i don't think it will be released soon.. I say at least in a year..

no, it will definitely be sooner than that.

it is sweet. judging by the photos, it's way past the conceptual stage..

i think the most interesting aspect is that you can bring your map down to the touch screen, and draw your own notes on it (like, "enemy here", or "door that needs key") so that you can refer to it as you explore the rest of a dungeon..

i can't wait!!!

yeah.. i mean, they talked about a zelda DS from the beginning, but the rumour was that it would be a lot like four swords, and that didnt really excite me, but WOW. it looks great, and I loved the windwaker graphical style.. so, WOW. I hear that a lot of people didnt really like the "cartoony" look of windwaker, but I think it is very nice and clean looking.

Great news, I agree, from the video, the game looks great. Now let's hope they wont make us wait too long and push the release date further, because I cant wait to play Zelda DS!

Don't hold your breath, these things take a while. And I agree, it'll take close to a year for a release for US/PAL.
