I'm using the Superpass program for the Super Pass II -- I'm trying to program it for Advance Wars - Dual Strike (U).. I don't currently have the game inside the Pass, but I don't think i need it in there to program it right?

Anyways it's saying a switch isn't turned on the superpass, as well as it's not plugged into the printer port and usb however it's all there. What's going on?

I just had the exact same problem when I got my Superpass 2 this weekend.  My switch broke literally within a minute of me opening the box.  Basically, the switch sucks on these things.  I ended up opening it up, unsoldering the switch and replacing it with a little jumper wire so that I could program it.  Even if you haven't broken your switch, the switch could be bad, preventing contact.  Unless you're familiar with a soldering iron, I'd get a replacement from where you got it.

In my case I physically had to hold it into the parallel port for the duration of the programming in order for the computer to recognize it.  It frustrated the hell outta me.  I also broke my switch, but I was still able to switch it using a magnifying glass and tweezers.
