Requirements

       * First of all, you need a DS that can run homebrew.
       * Second of all, you need a CF/SD adapter.
But because the CF/SD-card adapters on the market are different in the way they load programs, homebrewers are having a hard time to make software run on all of them. And when it comes to accessing the filesystem on the CF/SD card, things get even more complicated. That's because the library that is used to access these cards is mainly written by a single person named chishm (who is doing a great job, by the way!) But like all homebrewers, he also has limited time and money, so the FAT library he is writing still has limited support. Because I only have the GBA Movie Player, I can only test NitroTracker on this particular card. So, the GBAMP has the best support. Based on the reports of several testers, I've put together a compatibility list of cards that work / don't work.

       * GBAMP: Works
       * SuperCard SD: Works, but filesystem is read-only
       * SuperCard CF: Works, but no filesystem access at all
       * M3 SD: Works, but filesystem is read-only
       * M3 CF: ?
       * MK2/3: Works, but filesystem is read-only (rename .gba.nds to .ds.gba and flash to the fashcard)
It doesn't quite work on my SC CF... But I did spend a good hour writing a tune with recorded samples... now that was fun.

I've brought a GBAMP just for Nitrotracker, well and a load of other homebrew that wasn't quite working properly on SCSD. Yes am I am Supercard traitor ;)

Version 1.3 is now out... Supercard disk support now fixed.  This app is simply amazing.

Can we now save on SC SD?

I just read this from the website:

NitroTracker is now reported to start off pretty much every CF/SD adapter available, and reading is supported on all of them! Writing works on the GBAMP, SuperCard CF and M3 CF. Chishm is really doing great work with his FATlib!

So I guess the answer is still NO hehe.

Not sure, I have an SD CF, so I'm as happy as could be... at least we can all load XMs and screw around a little...

Remember, as the fat lib contiues to be worked on, the homebew will continue to be improved... Honestly, if there is any way to help this guy out, do it.  Again, this app is truly amazing.  I can not believe it is homebrew.

jbullfrog

how do I use this thin?  Do I just put wav files in the same folder that I have this nds file?  What are xm modules?  How do i load instuments on this?

Last time, I put this file on by itself on my SCSD, and there was no noise and I couldn't play anything.

Try loading the demo module from the disk menu... Play around with that one a little.

Also, there is a lot of information in the docs at the official site: http://nitrotracker.tobw.net/index.php?cat_id=4
