New Zelda Game Announced For The DS

I'd be surprised.  The only reason twilight princess (i know this thread is not about twilight princess) was delayed so much is that they want to use it as a crossover game for the revolution, and were adding support for the motion-sensing controller...   it will play in gamecube mode, but take advantage of revolution hardware. (Now, when gamecube owners are going to buy Zelda twilight princess, they will be facing the question of whether they really want to play it with gamecube controllers, or possibly be able to go fishing and do other cool things with the revolution controller!)

I am pretty sure this DS title has been in development for quite some time, and I'm positive they'll want it out by the holiday season this year..  anyway, It will definitely sell a lot of DS units!

(this is all a bunch of speculation, so don't mind me.. heh)

Quote from: "sneef"no, it will definitely be sooner than that.

No it wont. It's always like that. They announce the games a long time before they release the game. Remeber Minish Cap.. They've shown the videoes but they released the game almost a year after that. Same with Twilight Princess.. They work a lot on Zelda games..

In any case, they announced it would be released this year, and I already detailed why twilight princess was so late in my earlier post

No no I don't work for nintendo or anything but I have to say Satoru Iwata is my close friend

Anyways, you're saying it would be out on holiday season (which is around December if i'm right). Well, it is actually possible because it's a very good time to release the game.

BTW, Does anyone know if Capcom has anything to do with this game ?

Whuahoo....
I just finished yesterday the Minish Cap and today I get this great news !!
I took my time to play the latest Zelda, and I loved it as much as always, and with that I can safely say I beated all of them.
But now the future looks bright again....and I'm even gonna have a couple of months to get ready for it !

Nintendo has already said that the game will be fully playable at E3 and that the planned release is fall of this year. Nintendo will almost assuredly have this game out before the end of the year. Nintendo has been working on this game since before the DS was released, so by release they'll probably have 2 years worth of work done on it.

Really, the DS lineup is looking more and more awesome. MPH, Zelda, NSMB, etc... this year is killer for the DS.

If that's true, it's surprising they waited all this time to show the public.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

q_armando

They needed to lounch the true embodyment of the DS itself before....in the form of the LITE !!!
Now that the true DS is out, there is no reason to hold all those great games anymore!!!
Everything was planned from the beguinning I'm telling you !!
The DS lite is gonna sell more and faster then the DS did over a year ago!!
Talk about longevity and popularity!!

sneef

i don't know if it was planned (i mean, that the dS lite is the "true embodiment of the DS) but i have to say that the Lite has breathed new life into games i was bored with before.  Somehow they just seem so much better with the new screen and better buttons..

i scrapped some of my old save games and started over, just to re-experience the games.

zelda is gonna be sweet.. i can't wait!

q_armando

Same here,
The new backlit SP has got me to play lot's of GBA games again, because they look better then they ever did.
I expect the Lite to be nothing less than the new SP in terms of display, and I can't wait to get my hand on it and start to play Metroid prime, because with my current DS I can't see a damn thing!!! :)

NT

3D gfx with top-down 2D gameplay.  I love it.
