Been a while since I bought an SD card for my Supercard. What is the largest SD card that can be used with it... I thought it was up to 2GB version. Currently I use 1GB versions.

Really... I thought the max was 2GB. Your using a 4GB with no problems? Do you have to break down putting the games differently on the card?

richardv

works just like any SD.
Just had to format from dos Windows won't format it in FAT.

Even the Supercard website shows you can only use up to 2MB.

QuoteThe amount of storage the SuperCard contains via a CF or SD flash depends on your card. The Supercard currently supports a CF or SD flash card up to 16Gbits (2MBytes).

Lots of people have reported 4g cards working. Its just some people think you can't format FAT16 upto 4g... you can using a 64k cluster size...

Wow.

I have been getting incorrect information on this question for several months now. Thanks for posting this! I have been wanting a 4gb card for my supercard since i bought it. People kept telling me that it was not supported. I was almost about to invest in a M3 card until I saw this post. The M3 supports 4gb but, its too big hanging out of the Lite.

Could you please this BRAND of 4gb card you are using and where you got it from?

Also, have you had ANY problems with this card? (eg. slowdown, not reading, compatibility issues, other?)

Thanks!  (Many people will be helped by this information.)

Transcend 4GB
Got it at ecost
Been using it for 2 months with no problems at all.
Have noticed no performance difference from my 1 GB or 2 GB SD's

Ok Rich and guys here,

I immediately had a A-DATA 4gb sd card fedexed to me after reading posts that it works with the supercard. Problem I am having is, does this card need to be FAT16 formatted 1st?  How are you using the 4gb card with supercard?  My supercard is telling me, "Not FAT format." error

What do I need to do? What program should I use to format the card to FAT? Windows XP Pro wont give me the option for FAT16 for this card.

Help!

THanks

richardv

I just used a command prompt
format o: /fs:fat
where o is whatever your card is.
it will give a warning, just continue.

Thanks Rich
But, I figured it out. I ran the compmgmt.msc command and then ran disk manager in xp.  Formatted to FAT and was ready to go.
