Hey guys - sorry if this has already been asked..

Basically, I've got a copy of the ROM of Metroid Hunters.. I've been playing lots and I like to go out and buy the games I love because I'm crazy like that.

So here's my question.. is there a way to get the save file from my rom saved onto my actual DS card when I go out and buy the game??  I'd hate to lose all my stuff.

I tried patching the game to save to the DS card, hoping it would load my save file from my SD and then write it to the DS card next time I saved, but no luck - it ignores it completely.

Anyone?

Thanks! :D

First of all - sorry mods, I think I posted this in the wrong section.. should probably be in help and tips.

Secondly, thanks ZeroMidget!  Just did a google on RAIN, and it looks like it will help :)  I really appreciate that, I'll try playing with it :) :) ;)

dont forget though, if your using SC SD, you need to use SCCONVERTER.  and btw, dont do like i did the first time, and think .lzh is a ds file, its a zip file, open it with Win-Rar :)

Haha, will do!  Thanks for the warning on both counts :)

Thanks again ZeroMidget! It worked like a charm on the card I was using to test it out.  Now I just have to go buy Hunters! :)

nolith

can you backup savegame from original DS card?
With rainr14 and SC CF I can't, it freeze after I press A button, showing me the name of the savegame.

SAV2880

2 megabit games like Brain Age .... will it work for those too?

I'm going to buy Brain Age when it hits this week but I'm getting a head start!

No reason it shouldn't.

I did it with Mario Kart - I started on the ROM, bought the real game, and RAINed the save over. No issues at all. (However, new games are known to occasionally have issues until the next version of RAIN. For example, Animal Crossing required a change in RAIN for it to work.)
Manually signing your posts is dumb.
