Bought a Supercard CF recently for my GBA, primarily for the emulators.  I love NES, SMS, and TG16/PCE games, and I figured this was a great way to have portable emulators.  However, many NES games, and all SMS and PCE play slowly.  NES are not too noticeable, but SMS games are very slow, and PCE games are completely unplayable.  I've upgraded to firmware 1.61, & I use a Memorex CF card.  I'm kind of a newbie at using flash cards, so any specific, not-too-technical help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

slowdown on the emulators is more of a software issue than a hardware issue.  if you try compiling those emulators with your roms and put them on another flash cart, you'll find there is still slowdown.

For NES there are various speedhacks that help.  I don't use anything but the NES and goombacolor emulators so I'm not sure about the others.  PCE has always been really really slow.

Hit L+R to enter the emulator's settings and enable both speedhacks for NES games, should run perfectly after that.

i normally, in game, run the auto detect speedhack for a second, and the nes games almost always run flawlessly.
