First thing. Been messin around with my new MiniSD Supercards that last week or so. I think that the construction in the MiniSD is better than the StandardSD, but placing the miniSD card into the unit seems a little flimsier/fragile... and harder to get in and out. The StandardSD seems better for that purpose (even though it is a slide slot). Anyone else feel this too? I also noticed that the MiniSD Supercard doesn't fit as snug into the GBA slot like the StandardSD Supercard  does.

Now... on another note. Rumor is that they are working on a new "Device" that uses the DS slot for these purposes. It is roughly the size of the Passme2-z and lets you inserts MiniSD into the "device" slot for all your games. Kinda like the adapter is for the MiniSD cards now. Can't say where I've seen this, but well see if it pans out or not. I also heard it will be up there in cost... $80.00 to $100.00.

From romman or from elsewhere? If you mean this thing I wouldnt count on it being very good or having any lasting support (if it is ever even realized nevermind released).

What do you mean by "slide slot" on the standard SD? Is the miniSD just a push in and pull out wrather than a spring eject?

I like the overall construction of SC miniSD.  It slides smoothly into my GBA port and then disappears from sight inside my old blue DS. I really like being able to eject the miniSD without having to remove the SC. The clear purple shell seems rugged as any GBA game and exactly the same form factor. The opening in the shell for the miniSD is too tall, so care must be taken to assure the miniSD is actually sliding into the miniSd reader and not shell casing. The miniSD reader has a nice spring loaded click lock mechanism.

The new battery is a welcome sight too.

Sorry... I meant to say Side Slot. Fingers don't appear to be working very well today. Don't get me wrong. The new MiniSD is a new awesome edtion to the lineup and I am very glad I have them (works great with the NDS Lite). Maybe I am just so used to the Standard SD version and have to get used to the new one. That's all it probably is.

As for the new Device (Not the one that is pointed out)... it is from a maker that is VERY VERY reputable (the one we all know and love). I really can't say anymore than that, but if it is realized... it should be out by late this year or 1st quarter next year. Fingers crossed.

I get that alot too, fingers poking into the wrong holes and such. It sounds pretty good, this miniSD incarnation - especially if the plastic isnt that brittle clear stuff that is sometimes used (like XG's carts). I like that they continue to use the spring socket, it costs a bit more for the actual socket itself, but imho its worth it (quality vs having to get a pair of pliers to get the card out).

I havent seen anyone mention it, but is the FAT lib still working too? Stuff like Moonshell? (dont want to buy one plus a minisd just to find out, personally).

Yes, Moonshell 0.99 seems to work fine.

Even M3 didnt manage to keep moonshell working between their M3SD and M3SD slim   If I didn't have it already I would definitely get this one in a second.

Im very glad to hear of the corrections found in this version, with the battery, size and color all being liked by most SC fans. It is definitely impressive what they have done with their hardware since the SD version was initially released.

It is defiently worth getting... even if you already own the Standard SD version. Nice to have something that isn't overly big and bulky. Now it looks like a standard GBA cart and that is a very cool thing.

Does one have to keep using the cart to keep the battery charged and
can one replace the battery when it breaks down? How long will it last?

I will guess the battery will last longer than your interest in supercard+DS.  It looks easily replaceable though.
