My daughter is playing Super Mario 3, she goes to save state (Right+Left), how do you get this to save on SD card so she can load up at another time.

Also can someone please help me wilth the cheats on the menu.

Templar,

You'll need to generate a save file and put it in the same folder as the SMB3 rom.

Use this: http://scdev.org/files/sc_saves.rar to generate saves... Extract it to your nes folder and run the batch file.

Templar

:D Thanks Socket,

The save part works a treat - but can't load, everytime I press LEFT+RIGHT - only LOAD option no LOAD

socket

oh right... after you save within the emulator (which puts the save in memory on the SC), you'll have to QPC (quick power cycle) the system, and go to the supercard 'saver' menu and specifically select the game you saved for to move the save in SC's internal memory to the memory card.

It'd be nice that since the emulator is programmed into the SC if it would write directly to the card, but it does not.

Templar

1) Saved using L+R+Sel+A
2) QPC
3) Saver menu
4) Selected file
5) Loaded game - Nope

a) tried L+R - Load

Nope

If you're in NES you will only use L+R and save the state through the emulator's menus.

Now QPC, and save the 'save' to the card. If you don't have a file name smb3.sav along with smb3.nes (or whatever the file is named) it will not work.

Now you can safely power off and the save should remain....

If you load the emulator and load the game, you should be able to load the save from the emulator menu (L+R)..... I'M TRYING!  :)

i found it a much easier way with out QPC

1. L+R and save state
2. L+R+Select+A and save to SD (have to have a smb3.sav file there)
3. Load save state whenever you wanna play :)

socket

Hmm... does the save actually stay when you turn it off?

I have not messed with this in some time...

Templar

Thank you Socket for your help, yes it does work.

Seen as your the man - (in the know)

Do you know how to use the cheat option in the nesadvance
emul on the GBA

socket

Wow I just came accross this question now.  But no, I have not messed with the cheat option much.  Is it like a game genie?  I dont have my DS with me today.
