Hi all,

Just to update you. I had made the post before about my '3rd wave' (march 31st release) DS Lite bricking when trying to flash it up.

Well, I have since flashed up 5 more DS Lites (all post 03/31 release) with flashme V7 and they all flashed up successfully without powering off once no less. It looks as though it was a false alarm.

Keep in mind you lose the brightness adjustment functionality. This will come back with a final release of flashmelite. Happy flashing!  :D

ps: for anyone curious, I used a 2mm flathead screwdriver.

As an afterthough, I must have hit a trace on the PCB or another part during my first DS Lite flash attempt that caused it to shut down at 1%.
Just bad luck and excited clumsiness I suppose.

Time to get flashing again then, flashme V7 lite with brightness settings is out.

Hey,

do you think I will be able to reflash v7 (lite version) over the older v7 without a superpass 2 or shorting sl1?

Try the newest FlashMe v7 release. It's only problem is plugging in the AC turns it brightest when in DS mode.
