Just bought a supercard and superpass 2 for my m8s Ds

Trying to program the Superpass, yet can only get the message

Hardware not conected
usb not powered
switch not down

ive changed my parrallel port settings to erp 1.9
and still nothing, ive tryed it on 2 differant pcs and in differant usb ports ( i can feel the device getting slightly warm so its obvious there is power)

Has anyone got any ideas???

My heads about to damn explode

Flip the switch on the side of the SuperPass2?
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

yeah, thats done aswell!

could it be the programmers broke????

You have to plug in both the USB and the parallel. The USB is just for power.

got the usb plugged in aswell! tryed it in yet another pc! and exactly the same!

I think it is the programmer as the superpass works fine i my ds! (launch day version)

I had the exact same problem, tested on 3 pcs and they all gave the same error. The problem is Onboard Parallel Mode (Normal) set as default on most PCs in the BIOS.

The solution is to change the onboard parallel mode to "ECP" in your computers BIOS, after that the Superpass2 programmer is detected without error and you can program as you wish  :D

My exact settings in the BIOS (for those who wonder)

Onboard Parallel Port: 378/IRQ7
Onboard Parallel Mode: ECP
ECP Mode Use DMA 3
