.nds.dsq files do not appear in List?

I just got my Supercard CF and a brand new CF card (FAT-formatted, of course) and am trying to play some commercial NDS games.  I have a first-gen FlashMe'd DS (and a natrium42 FlashMe) so I shouldn't need to get a SuperPass to get this to work, right?

So, I run the clean ROM through the patcher (Super Card V2.53 for CF Version) and copy the resulting .nds.dsq and .nds.sav files to my CF card via the reader.  I then put the CF card into the SC and turn on the DS with Nintendogs in the DS slot.  It boots to the GBA loader, from which I can load the .nds.sav file but the .nds.dsq doesn't even show up.  I've tried loading GBA games and those work perfectly.

Is there anything I'm missing?

One tip: Flash your DS with Flashme 5 or above.
Then you dont need to Enter the NDS Mode, because it´s start automatically.

Wrong. (But upgrade to at least 5 anyway to prevent getting bricked by WiFi games.)

Upgrade your Supercard to the latest firmware (use the latest .bin then step to the most recent with the SCU files) and it will autoboot. (Hold Selest when powering on to skip the autoboot.)
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.
