All NDS and GBA ROMs cause double white screen

I've been attempting to get an NDS or GBA ROM to boot all day on my new Supercard miniSD, but all I ever get are white screens.  Yes, I use the patching software (I've tried both 2.51 and 2.53), and have tried SC Firmware v1.6 and v1.6.1.

I've tried games with and without IGR and Trim to no avail.  I've tested a wide assortment of NDS ROMs, but after the GBA ROMs didn't work, I just kind of gave up.

I did get Legend of Zelda 1.2.gb to work, but it froze after I left the house and went left one screen.  And now that I think of it, at one point, I did get Mario64DSv1.1 to boot at one point, but all the text was misplaced (under sound, it showed brightness, under brightness for on and off it showed 'extended' and 'mario'), and the sound was off beat.  I only got it to work once.  Don't even know how.

I have a Kingston 1GB miniSD card, a v1 DS with Flashme v7 installed, and of course the Supercard miniSD.

The miniSD card works fine, and passes chkdsk.  I'm thinking I might have a defective Supercard miniSD.

Perhaps the problem is with the miniSD itself?  Also, did you try the v2.52 patcher software?

Make sure to . . .

Patch "clean dump" game roms . . .
1) verify game roms with Nintenren software
2) patch game roms with latest supercard patcher software (v2.53)
http://www.scdev.org/index.php?cat=downloads&type=sd
3) use this list for best patcher software options
http://www.dualscene.net/lists/index.php?listname=Supercard
4) copy patched *.dsq and *.sav files to SD

Edit:
Also, when patching roms with the supercard patcher software make sure you right click (in the list) and select save to SD option.

My miniSD memory card works fine in everything, and even allowed me to patch the Supercard firmware, so surely it's compatible.

I've been trying to get the NDS roms working since my last post by trying different size partitions, but alas, that didn't work.

I don't see why running v2.52 would be any different than using v2.51 or v2.53.

My ROMs have been verified using NDSCRC, seeing as how Nintenren hasn't seen an update in a while.  Just to make sure, I tried downloading a clean dump again and not using NDSCRC on it and those don't do anything after patching either.

I'm copying both the *.dsq and *.sav files to my miniSD card.

And yes, I select load from SD and save to SD.  I tried Load from SC, but after waiting for the rom to load, it still went to white screens.

Nintenren database has been updated again, but NDSCRC should do the trick. I'm running out of ideas.  Do you see the dual screen supercard logo menu?  Try a DS rom.

Jackalo

Yeah, I see the Supercard logo on the touch screen and the menu on the top screen.

I'm able to boot GB roms (although a lot of them don't seem to get past a yellow screen, but I can still access the Goomba menu by pressing L+R).

Jackalo

I'm able to boot most NES roms and a few GB roms (they never get much further than the title screen).

The L+R combo on power on shows that my SRAM is fine.  I don't know, maybe it's having a problem with files over a certain size.

My card is definately formatted as FAT, and I can even flash the firmware with my 1GB miniSD Kingston without having to repartition it.  Anything over a certain, rather small size just doesn't work.

I'm too poor to purchase a second miniSD card, even if I return it afterwards.  Arg.

is it DSI* and SAV* for a CF card?? for instance if i wanted to patch a NDS game 2 my CF cards would i neeed to make sure it transfers into a DSi or dsq??? i cant remember

Jackalo

*.dsi means you have it set to load to the SC card instead of running it directly from the SD memory.  *.dsq runs it directly from the SD memory.
