I've just checked 10 or so NDS ROMs patched with 2.54 then with 2.541 and not a single change in output.... I'd imagine its maybe to fix borked GBA stuff?

That's all I can think of, I'll test in a bit but I'm sure it fixes the GBA patching bug.

the ability to patch animal crossing properly,it slows it right down..

Tried patching 5 games with the latest version - and non work - all white screens.

Went back to 2.51 and they all now work!

Metal Slug
and a few others.
