my memory card is only going half way in.  Anyone else have this problem?  And yes i do have the right card.

You probably have the card upside down. Flip it over and try again.

I was actually impressed m2pt5 recognized the solution so quickly.  I was guessing DT778 had a more serious hardware problem.  What a simple binary problem. Some people just don't understand process of elimination.

It's not so much quick recognition as habitually making sure people have tried the simplest solution first.

I do tech support for a couple companies - it's standard operating procedure to do it like that.

This is just one of your standard "ID10T" errors.  Nothing to worry about.

OK. But can someone confirm that on the mini SC the pins of the mini SD
are up (ie facing the top of the SC - with the logo) when inserting, while
on the ordinary SC the pins are down on the SD cartridge, ie the opposite.

I suspect they did that because it's more likely that people will be removing the miniSD without removing the SC from the DS, so it seems to be right-side-up from that perspective.
