cool i hear the navy is pretty good, i might get another one. Yeah prob be 8102 if we're lucky not forgettin the wonderfull price. I went with ups and got stung with customs ;(

Anyway just to let you know i just flashed my ds lite 2nd flash evar and no problems luckly i used foil wrapped around my flat head, went up to 100%  in one go, i did have a bit of worry when i disconnected the flat head, the ds lite just powered off. though it seems to be ok and the brightness control is still there cool.

oh well, ordered another one, lik-sang sure are gettign rich off me

foil over a flat head you say?! might have to try that next time... also what firmware versian did you use? i used the new versian of V7 for lite and normal. i want to hear from everyone who has flashed their lites, as to what they used, the SL1 was alot harder to get at...

oh well, hope the next one doesnt die on me #

Is there not a way to fix the DS Lite like normal DSs?  :? Man I would've cried if I bricked my DS  :cry: I used tinfoil round the screwdriver I used to open the battery thing. And I used the beta version of FlashMe Lite, ain't gonna change until it's necessary due to DS Lite bricking everywhere

Gieve, I think I read this on dsdev.org. The LEFT side of the SL1 hole has a metal thingy so cover at least the left side of the hole with paper or make your shortening tool in a way that only the tip is of aluminium foil (or something).

And what I would do is to first try and short it BEFORE flashing, to see if it doesn't shut down.

i didnt notice the metal down their at all, i will defintaly have to slide a bit of paper down there,

now all i have to do is wait for my replacement lite (a white one this time, just incase there is ever a repair service for lites so i can get the other one fixed).

did you try the button combo to try and blind flash? or something i read

I think it was the beta version of v7 its 526kb on my comp in size.

Yes i used foil thx daveychan, and one of them phlips tiny flathead done 5 ds's and my lite now and it def feel easier to do the phat ds, the lite felt different contact,

Hmm...I read in some forums that many of the 1% people have been able to restore their DSLs by the recovery routine...however, my apparently 3rd wave DSL doesn't seem to react at all to the described recovery variants.

Does anybody else know anything about that?

Any news on whether ppflash on lites works?
