Has anyone tried cory's terrific "Firmware Header Patcher" with the latest version of SC FW (1.62)?

If there's any confusion, this is Cory's tool that disabled the auto load into SC menu "feature" of the SC FW, and gave back the original hold "A+B+X+Y" to go to SC menu method.

If cory can answer this all the better :)

 Thanks for removing one of the things on my "to do" list - there really is no way they could block that tool aside from changing the hardware or putting in an explicit check to see if my tool changed the header

Yeah ... It really holds no interest to me.  But I know several people that don't like the "autoboot".  I guess it depends on what you use the Supercard mostly for.

I find it easier to let it autoboot into DS mode (and hold select and/or start to skip that boot, if necessary) than to have to hold ABXY to force it to boot into DS mode. I don't know why anyone would want to have to hold ABXY.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

People like me who play original games more than ROMs :)

Well then you can hold select to play your original game. Or pull out your supercard and save some battery life.

I'm not sure why anyone would want to criticize someone else's choice of what is most onvenient for someone else...

If you truly want to have "stealth" Flashme.  You want to have your DS boot like normal not by having to hold down "select".

That way if someone steals your DS and aint "down wit da scene" they won't be able to use the supercard.

Keep up the good work Cory.

*shrug*

I was happy when they added the PASS to the header. I don't understand why anyone else isn't.

It's better that holding FOUR buttons to access the SC menu.

My point was that it is stupid to argue ether way.  The patcher solves the problem so who gives a shit what other people like to do.
