On the properties screen in the SuperCard patcher, there are some options on the bottom.

enable restart
faster play game
iQue game
enable gba union

What do these options do?

Enable Restart- while playing a game, allows you to use button combo to return to SC menu without powering off your DS first.

Faster Play Game- loads NDS games QUICKLY

iQue- no idea lol

GBA Union- Some NDS games allow you to unlock specials items ingame if you have a certain GBA game in the slot. This allows you to use a NDS rom and GBA rom together to unlock the stuf. (ie. Rockman ZX + Rockman Zero 3 or 4)

Torte

And for GBA union so you have to do the same with the GBA rom?  And put in in the sme folder as the DS rom?

AnalogMan

The GBA game must be named the same as the NDS rom and be in the same folder.

Can I jump onto this thread and ask about some other options I don't know?

I've read answers to some of these before, but that doesn't mean I understood them.  :)

FWIW, I have a Supercard miniSD with patcher ver. 2.55 and I'll be upgrading to firmware 1.63b just as soon as it's done downloading.

What _is_ Saver patch, exactly?  I can choose between DS Card and SD Card.  What does that mean?
edit: Hang on, I think I got that one.  I went back to the Supercard site to try to find info about this stuff again.  You know, some of these really are self-explanatory.  But the ones that you think should be, aren't, and make you think that aren't, really are.  :P
Anyhoo, Saver patch, apparently, lets you save the progress you've made in the game (launched from your supercard) back ONTO the original retail cart of the same game.  I guess that's only possible if you've flashed, otherwise you'd have to have the superpass in your DS slot to have loaded the game in the first place?

ROM Position Patch:  In the Starfox threads, people are recommending to hit the Super Card ROM Position Patch...to make the ROM load into Supercard memory?  Or what?  I don't get that one at all.  another edit: I read up on it again, and okay I get the bit about loading it FROM supercard memory, but how much memory does the card have?  And yes, up until just now I DID forget about the built-in memory it uses to manage GBA saves and stuff.  Is there some limit to the size of ROM this will work for?  And why would that make Starfox work?  Doesn't seem like it'd have any impact!  Now I'm even more confused

I actually DO understand Enable Restart, so I'll skip that one.  What about Enable Trim ROM and Faster Play Game?  I guess most importantly, do I really care about these options?  If, upon having trouble with some random game, someone immediately suggest turning all these options off again, is there any real point?

Well, whatever, if someone could, once and for all, explain these options in a way I can understand, I'll be eternally grateful.  Until I forgot.  :P

TIA!
No, seriously, I really will appreciate it.
