Wifi connection problem?!

I have been having problems with getting connected with the wifi connection on mario kart ds. How do you use wifi connection when the game says it needs to register your game card with the ds? Im using a supercard so obviously there is no game card in the ds slot and so it can't do it, so how do you get around this?

Somebody please help?!! :?

It tells you that the first time you try to log on to Wifi Connection, which means u haven't been issued a friendcode. Don't worry about not having a cart. All your information will be saved to your MK save file. After it connects, you will be given a friend code and the next time you long on you will not get that message.

Are you having problems with your router too?

ok im still confused....I don't know if i can say this on the forum but let me give it a shot....I am playing a 'copied' version of mario kart ds, however, when I go on wifi connection it says something along the lines of 'your ds game card and system must be used together',with no game card being in the ds, it comes up with an error message as it can't detect it. Am i making sense? Does someone know the solution?

I think trimming the rom in the supercard pc software causes problems. Try it with an untrimmed rom.

Yeah, try patching the rom with no trim and no restart.

In Mariokart choose: Nintendo WFC, Nintendo WFC settings, Options, Erase Nintendo WFC config. Then when you redo your connection it will give you a new friend code and you should be able to connect just fine. This works in my experience.

Hey thanks. I basically tried everything you told me and now it works. I am so happy, wifi connection is brilliant. Anyway, I am new to these forums, so I guess I am here to stay
