Like renaming Moonshell or any other app to run automaticaly when DS boots.
_BOOT***.nds does nothing here.

Nope, there's no way as of yet, but people have been wanting one for a while now.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.
