If I upgrade from version 6 to version 7, do I still have to short the SL1 bridge... or can you just do it straight no short?

You can flash the DS without short the SL1 Bridge.
Only copy to your Supercard and execute.

i still had to bridge my sl1 when i upgrade from v6 to v7 it stuck ??% but it did when i upgraded from v5 to v6 so i already had my battery cover of & some foil ready

upgrading from v6 to v7 worked for me without needing to shortcut sl1

as stated above i just copied flashme.nds to my supercard sd.

Thanks. Worked without shorting the bridge again from v6 to v7... no problems.
