does anyone know what this error means?

i tried to connect to nintendo wifi in my local pub.
my mac address is registered with the service provider so it should have worked.

however it just gave me this error.

i have no connection id but as far as i can tell you only get this when you manage to connect for the first time.

Whenever you have an error code, go to this page http://www.nintendowifi.com/customersupport/SupportHome.jsp
and input whatever code your ds gives you.

Error Code: 20100

The Nintendo DS is unable to connect to an Access Point. What to do will depend on where you are connecting from

You might wanna go therenow  and input the code again because it gives you an entire list of things to do to try to solve the problem.  :)

just tried the site but after entering my error code where it told me to the website gave me an error message.

pretty sure the site will be sorted by tomorrow though.

Still works just fine for me. Here is all the info it gives on the error:

The Nintendo DS is unable to connect to an Access Point. What to do will depend on where you are connecting from:

   * Wireless home network
   * Partner Hotspot
   * Non-partner Hotspot

Connecting from a wireless home network:

   * Make sure that the DS is within 30 feet of the wireless access point and facing in its general direction.

   * Make sure that any other interfering devices, such as microwaves and cordless phones, are turned off.

Connecting from a partnered Hotspot

   * Verify that you are at a partner Hotspot. A partnered Hotspot is a hotspot that is run by a company that Nintendo has specifically contracted with to make sure that users are guaranteed a free, seamless internet connection. To find partnered Hotspots in your area, or to check if the location you at is a partnered Hotspot, click here.

   * Try to connect online from various points inside the location. Signal strength can vary, depending on where the access point's signal is coming from. (Please do not sit or stand in places that will interfere with the location's customers or staff.)

If you are still unable to connect, please call 1-800-255-3700 in the USA or Canada for more information.

Connecting from a non-partnered Hotspot

   * Ensure the Hotspot location does not require an internet browser to setup an account, accept a use agreement, or enter a password before accessing their Wi-Fi serice. If the location requires any of these items, you will not be able to connect to the Nintendo WFC.

   * Make sure that the DS is within 30 feet of the wireless access point and facing in its general direction. Signal strength can vary, depending on where the access point's signal is coming from. (Please do not sit or stand in places that will interfere with the location's customers or staff.)

   * Orientate the Nintendo DS so that your body or other objects (such as walls, plants, furniture, and other people) are not blocking the signal. Also, make sure there is no interference from wireless phones (cell phones are okay).

   * If the connection continues to fail, this Hotspot may have their router set up in a manner that is not compatible with the Nintendo WFC. We recommend trying a different location. Click here to search for known Hotspots in your area.
