I'm new to gaming and I'm importing a ds lite.  The problem though is that I don't really know what I'm doing...
I have no clue if I should get a m3 or a supercard.
What benefits does one have over the other?
Can I still play music and other media on a supercard like I can on a m3?

Yes you can play music from a supercard, homebrew compatability is pretty much the same almost.

The main difference between M3 and Supercard is GBA games and some NDS games. There are about 2 games on Supercard NDS mode that dont work too well, Ultimate Spiderman and Spyro, US freezes and Spryo lags.

As for GBA games because of the ram used in the supercard you may encounter slow downs and problems with some games for GBA. M3 has quicker ram that works with pretty much every GBA game. So basically unless you intend on playing GBA games get a supercard as its much cheaper.
