Hello all, I have a bunch of questions on Supercard

1, What are "Enable more Saver" , "Enable more Real Time Saver" and "Add coercive Restart"
2, Can "Use External IPS File" be used to patch roms (Translation hacks)
3, Is "Enable Compress" recomended, and will it have any other side effects apart form the longer load time (slow down, incompatiblity)
4, When you look at the games you are about to patch you have different coloums, the last one is "Patch" with either a Yes or Fail in it.  What does this mean and what relevence does it have one the game
E.G. I have patched Mega Man Battle Network 5 and the patch option was fail (the release number is above 1990) yet I can still save still save and use real time saves.

Thank you

Quote1, What are "Enable more Saver" , "Enable more Real Time Saver" and "Add coercive Restart"
Some games require more than 64kb or your saves wont work so enable more saver is to increase the maximum size of your .sav file and more real time saver adjusts the size of your real time save file (.sci) to accomodate this. Add coercive Restart enables the restart function in programs that it normally does not work for such as GBA PDA or similar apps.
Quote2, Can "Use External IPS File" be used to patch roms (Translation hacks)
yes, and also old trainer patches for cheats though this is not neccesary because of the built in codes and ability to use action replay codes and codebreaker if you can figure them out.
Quote3, Is "Enable Compress" recomended, and will it have any other side effects apart form the longer load time (slow down, incompatiblity)
I would recommend it, some say its not worth the loading time but I would rather be able to store as much stuff on my card as possible. The rom plays just the same whether you compress it or not because when you select a compressed rom from your CF card it uncompresses it and loads it in your supercards RAM. The only problem I have run into with compression is movie files created with meteo will white screen on you if they are compressed.

Roms labeled yes should work perfectly fine and roms labeled fail may give you some problems but I have patched many roms that have said fail and they all work perfectly fine, you dont really know untill you try the rom out.

Thus proving what I said above, my rom said the same thing yet it works just fine as well so be glad for that.

Also they give you more saving slots which is really useful if you want to try something in the game. Like killing the "needed" npc that you hate and see what happens. :P

And some games can sometimes do not work. :) But you can easily ignore that. Because putting more roms is worth it. :)
