Hi. Just got my supercard[kicktrading] and I was lurking the forums for a few days before that as well. So I have read up and know of a few of the issues tackled with the card. Of these, the few that pertain directly to me being the "defective  supercards" and the "qpc"

"defective supercards"
Now I'm not sure how large of a percentage of the super cards have the issue of locking up during use on a DS due to the CF card, but I know the fix for this is to pull the CF after the rom loads. This isn't a issue for me. I feel comforable doing it and I can live with it. The real questions for me become -

Is this really a isolated batch or did they all really have this problem and only those with the hardware it's not fully compatible with find this out first hand?

Does this batch being "defective" take a performance hit from the issue with the units voltage differnce?

[The reason for these questions of course is wether I should spend the time and money to send it back when I can easily live with a small *pop the card out* issue for my 1 gig CF when I have a 32 meg wich works perfectly for my more important games. But if I am loosing performance on a dramatic scale because of it I would want a differnt one]

Now from what I've seen The unit performs pretty well. Most games will slow down a bit in places patched or not. Some games [0058 - Bomberman Tournament (U).gba] run way over speed. I've done most of my patch testing on Metriod - Zero Mission. In areas with those little bugs [like in the room just before the long beam and the way to the room with the varia suit] I'll get a pretty decent performance hit. Other then that it runs like a dream. I haven't made it too far besides that with all the testing. Yes I get the varia suit right after the bombs... Wich brings me to the QPC method

QPC
I've tried the QPC method on metriod[hell I've tried it with no save patches] and it just slows the game down. Maybe I didn't catch a note of someone saying it didnt work with metroid?

Also if no one knows if the units performs differntly acrost platforms or acrost newtype/old type/defective type SC I would be willing to assist with  bench marks. [A method of doing so would be to take a spcific point in one game [A] and time how long it takes to get a point through uninterrupted means. Like falling a long distance in Metroid zero mission in a slow area or in something that runs even worse. Someone can make a statesave and pass it out]
h look what a lovely stain i've made. And the aroma... Soo fresh.
