This web browser will only be released in Japan this week and no other announcements have been made in terms of other region releases.


Now I'm confused. Will it be this week or July 24th. I'm thinking it'll be sold online this week and in stores on July 24 :?

In their box art post it DOES say next week, but if you look lower you'll see their Opera Release Date post, and it states July 24. I think two different people posted and the one for the box art read it wrong. It IS July 24, and will, as far as we know, only be available through online shops, not stores.

Will it be possible to put Opera in a rom format?

I doubt that anyone will do this because of copyright infringement, but maybe someone could look at how Opera is coded and make a homebrew broswer similar to it.   :lol:

I relatively sure some crack group will take care of it.  If nothing else, someone will write a custom patcher to redirect RAM calls to FAT.

I really hope this happens. I really want to try it out while waiting for it to hit the states.

I think rewritiing the GBA pokemon games to use the DS internal clock for flash carts would be easier.

You asked how easy it would be. I answered by comment, in a bit of a referance to another thing some people have asked patches for (well the other GBA internal clock games too).

I think some clever dev-type could figure out a way to sub the internal 32MB of RAM that SC & M3 to be the RAM of the GBA cart that the browser comes with. All we need is some working ROM linkage. After all, the RAM pack is basically just a GBA game in slot2 that's re-writable by the DS cart in slot1.
