Couple of my customers complained that supercard killed their new DS Lite. Did this happen to any one here? Can someone comment?

No flashing was done, just plugged and played. Both of them are returning the supercard. I have never heard of that happened, but may hear more since more people are playing with DS Lite now.

they're lying, screw does bastards. they either just want their money back, are stupid and dont know how to use it, or flash their ds lite's and fail. if you want return their money but dont pay for any "Damages" :?:

I know 3 people using SC CF or miniSD and superkey with no problem so far.


But I know another one who killed his DSone plugin' CF in SC in the wrong side.
Bending some pins of the SC CF create a deadly shortcut.

They claimed that they had no problem on getting exchange from where they bought the DS Lite, but one guy said he tried and killed 2 DSLs and he did not want to kill another one.

I'll give them refund as long as they return the package in good shape. But, I would like to know if this happened to others since two of them complained.

were they SD or CF?  It could be a bad batch of them from the creators of the supercard

Is this your guy?  I think it could be a rash of bad DSes with fuse problems.

I wonder if in ALL your customer's case the Superkey was used.

I've had to repair a DS with a blown fuse because one of the CF pins in a SC was bent and shorting against other pins.  So, I would inspect the returned SC throughly even though it's SD version.

In this instance the problem could be with tolerances in the electronic components.  Perhapse with both SCmini and Superkey in an NDSL it's possible to pull too much current through the fuses?

I'm more likely to believe dude fucked up his NDSL trying to flash it, and now he want's to bail out.  My two cents.

I'm using the SC minisd with superkey in my Lite with no problems. I would agree that something is fishy here. I haven't heard anything about the Supercard giving DS Lite any problems on any of the forums I frequent, other than the CF version. In which case its user error with bent pins.

I just got an SD Supercard for my DS lite, so far no problems at all.

I'd also be more willing to buy a 'failed flash' than anything ... the individual I pointed out above DID PM me and ask me about it privately, so it sounds more legit, but ....

i bought a supercard from realhotstuff tried it on my lite and it worked flawlessly, since i had a clear one (goes better with the lite i use that one while my girlfriend uses the one from realhotstuff.com. no problems in my lite.

I don't know if the two customers who had problems read this forum. I think they were using the miniSD version. I have not received their return yet. I am just afraid the supercard will kill my DSL too. I don't think I have a choice but to try it myself when I get the supercards back.

Just make sure none of the pins are bent or anything before inserting it hate for you to brick yours if they messed up the mini sdcart
