a messed up pixel in ds lite screen

is there anything can be done replacement or fix wise replacement from gamestop is no go they say corporate said cant return em for that reason its not a dead pixel if screen is certain color its fine but on others just shows the 1 little red pixel... :evil: ...PS...IF WRONG AREA MODS SORRY COULDNT FIND WHERE TO POST IT...

Try taking it to Walmart. Even though you bought it from Gamestop I bet Walmart will allow you to exchange it without a reciept. I took mine back to walmrt (orginal DS) about 4 times because of 1 dead pixel and they were very nice about it.

Try pushing on the pixel when the screen is on that is what i did and it worked again

Seriously, that will work. Or, call Nintendo, say that your eye keeps focusing on the dead pixel and that it gives you migraines after about an hour. Tell them it is imparative that they replace it. Tell them this BEFORE they lay the "play it for a few weeks and see if it bothers you" speech.

They will replace it.

I've bricked 2 lites on purpose for the dead pixel return. Store wouldnt return the lites for two of my friends saying that nintendo allowed so many per unit depending on where it was. Manager was just being a dickhead.. so anyway .. I bricked them bitches and they returned them no probelem.

On a side note.. I have a pixel in the top screen that occasionally gets stuck in green when that specific color green turns up. Never really bothers me but I bought a 1 year waranty so after 11 months.. i'll brick mine as well and return for a fresh one.. Maybe in 10 months there will be other colors in US.

i got my Navy DS Lite 3 days after it was released in Japan, and since day one it had 3 stuck pixels (2 on bottom, 1 on top). I had never heard of pressing the screen until this thread, so I just tried it, and i have no more dead pixels (after a gentle screen-massage) ! nice! thanks.. who knows if it's a temporary fix.. i hope it doesn't endanger my "good" pixels. heh.

massaging the pixels out is a good first solution on any lcd screen and does not cause any problems and is permanent

Alas, I've never had a pixel problem that rubbing fixed .. .sigh ...
