People are already working on that, no one is working on porting these fine games, not to mention I have yet to see anything an snes rom that runs not be at full speed. So where is this desire for something we already have coming from? Perhaps you meant full compatability.
So let's run down the list here, not only did you not read the thread which is again about games we'd like to see ported to the ds which aren't in the process of it happening, but you also posted a request that has been fufilled 6 months before your post.

Desent for the win!  This game was freaking awesome back in the day, and full 3D movement with the stylus would only make it better!

Abuse and Beats of Rage would be great ports too!  I used to play Abuse on my pile of crap MAC a long time ago, and I've been trying to create a B.o.R mod these last couple days.

Quote from: "Altor"Descent 1/2 has more votes than everything else combined.  Well, er, almost.  I wonder if anyone would be interested in trying to port it?  Where would I post to make a suggestion like that?

I think your post/vote here is a good start.

Bolo!! You could add netplay. It would be awesome. I used to play it all the time back grade 7. It's a really fun game. Simple graphics. The DS should be able to handle it well.

DS Lite (US) Polar White - M3 Lite - Superkey - Sandisk MicroSD 1GB

Does any one remember a game on the playstation called VIB RIBBON. It was a white line with a white sketchy looking rabbit that runs along a screen and has to go over obstacles created by what ever music cd u had in the playstation at the time.

i think the ds would handle this game . but there would need to be a way for the game to read mp3's .

if someone could write a speedy 68000 emulator then we'd be able to see loads more emulators, capcom arcade included - I want to see sf2 - gba sucks because of controls and sound capabilities.

68000 would allow - sega genesis, cps1, neo-geo (ok hopeful I know) and maybe amiga in the future  !!

ST or Amiga would really really rock

I think there's already a pretty fast 68000 emulator for ARM CPUs, Cyclone:

Wow, that's pretty cool.  Specifically designed for ARM7 and ARM9, now where have I heard those two words before?

PeterM

Indeed! PicoDriveDS uses Cyclone I believe, so it's certainly possible to compile it for DS.

So perhaps it just depends on how much of a pain it is (and how much slower it makes the emu) to bridge the emulator and Cyclone.

I don't know how emulators slipped in this thread, but its all good.

Duke Nukem 3D would be pretty sweet, it would be easy to use with the stylus since you can only aim left and right really.  Would bring back some memories.

PharaohsVizier

Well if we look at unrealistic ports, I'd say Starcraft (or any big RTS for that matter) or CS, if we look at realistic ports, I'd guess I'd want something simple like NetBig2, or Sim City?

PeterM

Ports require source code to port.

Otherwise you're talking about a remake.

Alright what about some classic arcade games like Simpsons Arcade Game?

PeterM

That was a cool game. Someone would either have to remake it, or port MAME.
