Directly from China M3 Supplier.  But according to them.  The current model only support chinese.  The official launch unit will support English and other language.  Hopefully I don't get rip off from this.  I did order a few units by the way.

chek: Where did you purchase your M3Adapter.  I didn't find anywhere to pre-order it yet.

vlaine

You told you pre ordered a few m3adapters?  Did you plan selling it?  I still don't know where to pre-order it.  If you sell it, how much are you asking?  Does it include the passkey or not?  Will you have the US or chinese version?  It doesn't seem clear.

sneef

He said it only supports  chinese.

Just received my M3 Chinese Version Yesterday.  I the middle of testing :-

This are my finding :-

1. Confirm no slow down on all Action game like Mario 0402, 1212, and Fighting game.

2. Overall construction is very solid compare to Supercard.

3. NO PATCH necessary unless you want real time save (Utility is also provided, but this utility is in English)

4. Game save is more secure as compare to Supercard.  But there are some downside about its handling.

5. Game can be save even without patching.

6. More compatible with various GBA title including titles that uses 32Mb or 256 Mbits game.

7.  Did found a few games that is not compatible.  Don't know why, but only very few titles.

8. There are utility provided but in Chinese at the moment for RIPping DVD/VCD to is compressed format.  Quite simple really, only downside is very slow.

9. Game loading are generally faster compare to supercard, because it reads in block of 512Kbyte at a time.

Other feature yet to explore, need more time.

The Negative point as far as I can see at the moment :-

1. DOES NOT support Long Filename.  System only display 8 character game name that including the ~1 or ~2 when the name get to long.  This will be a nightmare to determine the game that you wish to play.

2.  Because the game save is embedded into the hardware itself, therefore it uses some special filename located in special directory.  Meaning there are only 10 GAMESAV0.DAT to GAMESAV9.DAT for you to save the games.  And this files must be placed in a directory name gamesave in the root directory in the cf card.

3. The two L/R shoulder button for selecting game from the game menu is   now being replace with Left/Right direction button.

sounds pretty promising... keep the reviews and any compatibility issues coming ... i dont like the sound of the non-working roms, but as it's barely out yet, i'm not too worried.

I wouldn't worry about this. The .e19 update is for the GBAMP versions 1 and 2 fix the long filename issue. Version 3 (the M3) will probably have firmware updates that get rid of this (and possibly the other) problems as well.

Just upgraded my M3 firmware.  Now it support long filenames.

From my testing and finding of M3 adapter.

1.  GBA games compatibility (Very high.  Much higher than supercard)
So far the only tested games that hangs are : 1049 The Incredible Hulk, and 2093 Pac-Man World 2

2.  Game loading is also faster than supercard.

3.  Hardware game save is really cool feature,  no need patching.

4.  One of the most feature rich cart.

Note : Have not tested game with Real Time Clock yet.

Nice review check.  I am so convinced right now.  My Supercard is already sold and I can't wait to buy my M3 Perfect-CF.  But where the hell can I buy it.  Check have a few for sell, but no Passkey yet.  G6Flash is supposed to go out today (august 26th), but I can't see any retailer yet.  Very strange

What about DS roms? Are they all working on M3?

Unfortunately, unlike the ball, people do not bounce.

That is the most important question.
