Problem keeping save data in Minish Cap

I am running a compressed Minish Cap patched with "Enable Save" and "Enable Restart."  I can save easily, and the data stays after leaving the DS off for a while.  However, when I change the directory of the game and the save file (I still keep them together) my data is mysteriously erased.  Has anyone else encountered this?

I seem to have this problems too. With Riviera and Yoshi's Island, both i need to use QPC to save.
I play Riviera, save ingame, do the QPC and  the rom isn't anymoe in ram, but i go to the saver screen, select the corresponding sav file and save to the CF. If i reload the rom (by selecting the rom), the save is there right, but when i stay for a time and reboot the GBA, there's no save.
The same with Yoshi's Island, the rom isn't in ram when i QPC...
I have scz, sav and sci files in G:\GBA\ folder

Actually, my data saves fine (L R Sel A), but if I move the files off the card, and then put them back on, my data is erased.

In trying to figure out what the problem was, I copied the .sav file from my supercard to my hard drive and tried to "Import Battery" it into visualboy.  This created a blank file.

After I attempted the import (and it failed), I re-loaded Minish Cap on my GBA through the supercard, and the save file was intact.

So, something is happening when I copy the file to my computer... and that doesn't make any sense to me at all.  None of my other save files seem to be affected by this.
