What does the new file do:

SOFTWARE for MoonShell: MoonShell Reset for SC (2006.08.03)

This was from the the supercard site download section

The reason I ask I have the file premade up from the tutorial from the july contest.

When you run the file, it reboots the Supercard to the SC menu. It works from inside both Moonshell and DSOrganize.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

so it is just a soft reset so to speak.

Excellent. It's the hook we have been waiting for that will allow Moonshell (and other homebrew) to exit back to the Supercard menu.

Thanks Romman!

Interesting!

I'll add this to my pre-made packages when I get home tonight :)

What about the file named "scfont.fon", I don't know if it's related to Moonshell or just the Supercard kernel or something else, I tried to use it as "system.fon" for Moonshell but it failed while loading so I think it's not that.

Somebody knows how to use it?

I copied that file to the root, and it don't seem to do anything. The long file names have always been OK for me, but the really long ones get cut off at the edge of the screen, I thought this file might make the name scroll when high-lighted.
Yes I'm mad

I have no idea (and would try if I was at home) but does scfont.fon belong in the shell folder?

Altor

Any idea yet where this font file is supposed to go?

Same deal here. I'm not worried, all the long file names still work for me anyways.

And yes, this goes into the ROOT folder as someone already mentioned.

Maybe it has something to do with moonshell too..I don't know but well it does not make any difference if everything goes well.

I don't see any change in the font. So is the font file the same font that's already in the SC?

Can you use different fonts you download off the net?

Altor

Someone needs to figure out the answer to this one.  Nobody seems to know what scfont.fon actually does. :S
