The fixed upgrader is a bin.... which I can't use because I ran the old upgrader, so I can't browse the files on my supercard. Or am I missing something? If anyone who bricked their supercard before has gotten the fixed upgrader to work, let me know how you did it, please.

I don't know if it will work but try re-naming it to UPGRADE.scu

that doesn't seem to work. But why would romman release the fix as a bin when the whole complaint is that you can't access the files anymore?

It could be that the card is bricked deliberately by the 1.63a firmware. I think romman must make a fix and if that's not possible accept liability and offer free re-placements including shipping.

why would he do it deliberately?  

not only that, but as far as I know, it's not a "fix" for those who are bricked.  It's a fixed firmware upgrade that will not brick any supercard (for those who have not upgraded yet).

hey sneef i have a quick question on homebrew on supercard lite. So far i have been using the blahblah.sc.nds. But how do i make a .nds a sc.nds or is it something different?

so for the people who've already bricked theirs... we just have to buy a new one, or what? I can't do wifime, so I can't try the fixer thing...  :cry:

You misunderstand.. what I meant was that the deliberate bricking would be for the 'fake' cards, but it seems that SC overlooked the 'CB' version of the miniSC and bricked that too (possibly). I'm waiting for the response from Romman about this issue, it could be costly for them but the cost could be greater if they don't respond to something that is their fault.

But hopefully a fix for the 'CB' bricked SC's will be released soon.

ok. fair enough. but that wasn't apparent from your post.  

I agree that if the firmware update bricked legitimate supercards, then supercard team holds some responsibility.  Let's just not start unnecessary panic, or start  judging prematurely.  We don't know what they may or may not have in mind.  Give it a bit of time.

This is really starting to make me mad, I got all excited thinking it was fixed and I open a bin, I knew as soon as I saw it it wouldnt work, why is it not another scu?!

since you obviously missed it, old scu's dont work either... but they at least load up instead of white screening... now you know...........

Do some reading. ALL .scu files die after 32% after running the 1.63 .scu. The firmware is fried.
