I am thinking about buying a supercard sd...but then I saw the m3 adapter for the ds.  Who here thinks I should get the m3?

Also, is it true that in certain games, they LAG?

its true... in certain games, there is slowdown.

very few games (but they are pretty good games!)

i would wait to see if m3 lives up to its claims.

I find it interesting that people on here have said the Hynix chips speed is too blame.. yet these few games cause a slowdown even without save and reset patching, yet none of the DS games released so far by ROMMAN have slowdown?

sneef

Yes, but GBA architecture accesses flash memory differently than DS architecture.  At least this is what I've read at gbadev.org...

also, maybe it's not the hynix memory that is the culprit, but the pcb itself?

Yea there are slowdowns.  Most are very minor (esp with the SD version) but some are downright unplayable (very very few).
I would also recommend waiting for the M3 to see if it meets the hype.

Mind you, the M3 will probably set you back a good $120 or so.

The M3 itself is $90-100 and a PassMe is $20 (yeah, it doesn't come with one!)

And if you're like me, with a Sony digital camera (using Memory Stick Pro Duo), you'll need to get an SD / CF card as well, so there's another $100.

I don't think that waiting for m3 is a good idea. When I read the features of the cart on their sites I just saw "We do that and SC can't" and if you know about  carts and gba a little you'll see that they are basically lying in most of the subjects. They even said that there's no patching yet the button combinations. Well I don't think that game makers knew about m3 cards and added support for them.
