How is the EZ4 lite deluxe compared to other carts?

Would u say the EZ4lite Deluxe is the best flashcart of for the good DS and gba compatibilty> I have my SClite w/1 gig micro Sd for DS play and recently bought a G6 for gba play. Both are great flash carts but I layed down a lot of money to buy the G6 cause of its good gba compatibility. Both the prices of the carts and the micro Sd together came up to alot of moeny.  So what I'm trying to say is, should I have gotten the EZ4lite Deluxe instead of the G6 and just sold my Sclite.  Other than just one or 2 ds games not working for the EZ, what makes the other carts better than it(Especially the M3lite) if u only want it for ds, and gba play.

no it is not.  And since fifth made that huge guide you should have used it.  EZ4 has the best gba but ds is not up to par and the homebrew right now kinda sucks.  Also to take out the microsd you have to open your ez4 to get it out -_-. M3 and supercard are the big 2 that people trust.  Ez is still not up there yet.

and the supercard is way better execept the gba part.

If you want GBA get the EZ Flash 3, it has the same GBA and NDS support as the EZ Flash 4.  And it is way cheaper

no it don't ...  EZ2 has far superior nds support than EZ3

The EZ4 is not bad, but is simply lacking when it comes to DS roms when compared to SC-Lite. No EZ4whatever the mem card can even run the castlevania vid smooth (despit the recent speed up, imagine how bad it was before). It has loads of games with jumpy glitches during loading, and even in gameplay on certain games. If the SC performed this way it would be crucified beyond belief.

The EZ4 is good with GBA roms, though running them through the DS menu lots of games run weird (Fzero for instance runs every other frame) and many have noticed other games running jerky. But running gba games from GBA mode does give great results but has a hidden achilles heel, in that every time the save file saves to mem card it takes about 30 seconds, on every boot (snore, but not the end of the world).

Wow, I didn't know EZ4lite was that bad. So did u think I made the right choice of buying the the SClite for DS and G6 for mostly gba and new ds games?

sonicwind

The scl was a good choice but you could have gotten an ez3 for gba for much cheaper than the g6.

I was thinking the same. Or dare I say it.. a M3 with a big mem card (not as good as SC-Lite though for DS)

which of the scl, m3 or ezf4lite deluxe has the easiest save system? cause i still have no idea how the SC's RTS system works and i have to save the gba savs to the SD every time i want to stop playing (turn off then back on right away and goto saver menu)

for gba i think ez4 is the easiest then m3 and g6 then sc last.  And sc's rts is where you press L+R+B+select and it does a real time save.  I haven't used gba enough to say how you load it up though sorry : /

Hahah, looking at all of you guys attacking the poor Ez 4 is kinda funny, let me defend it a little bit.

The absolute good: Of course, GBA roms.  I found myself playing a lot GBA games rather than DS games these days (mainly waiting for FF3 to comes out in the states).  And thanks God, I don't have to agonize myself over the Supercard's problematic GBA supports, anymore.

The neutrals: the saving systems.  For both the DS and GBA, EZ use the boot up saving method.  It has its bad and good.  Bad, you've already know.  The good thing is that you don't have to worry about the saves going corrupted by saving many times during game play.  OK, it kinda bugs me, especially those times that I accidently boot into GBA while there's a save to be written, 1 goddam minute.  It writes quickly in the NDS side though.

The bad:  NDS supports.  Yup, worse than Supercard for sure.  In fact the worst of the 3 "major players :D".  Anyway, I found myself kind of disappointed when I first got the EZ as my main for NDS games.  BUT, I got used to it.  The slowdowns (hardly) are in NO WAY affecting the gameplay (at least in my games).  And I am satisfied with the way EZ team are making updates nowaday.

The ugly: Homebrews.  Hmm, bad supports of homebrews defeat any purpose of having flashcards for NDS in the first place... So STAY AWAY until further notice.  At least I can still run my Moonshell :).

I hope this helps you guys.

and homebrew is the only real legitamate reason why those companys aren't being killed by nintendo.
