I just got a supercard mini sd today. I updated it to firmware 1.63 and now its broke. What do I do?

When I load it, all i get is a white screen. There were no errors when i was updating it

uh oh... I hope you used 1.63B and not just 1.63....

1.63 bricks SD cards, but it has been fixed to 1.63B
Please tell me you used 1.63B, and we'll help from there!

I downloaded this file from their main page

setupsdV255Cen.rar

After that, I ran the sd_163.bin file on my SC. It patched fine.

Try cleaning the contacts, but other than that it sounds if the SC has gone bad

My NDS is only 2 months old and its always in its leather case when I'm not playing or charging. The contacts should still be good.

Tried to blow into my NDS but it still didnt help. It was ok before I updated. Can someone confirm that I got the right patch? I think the rar file says that its correct but not the .bin file

It should be called upgrade.scu and you got the one that is for the mini sd from the supercard site, which by the post above is correct.

Sorry i check my sclite file, scratch what I said about the upgrade. IT should be called sd_163.bin (yes that is what is even though it does not say be it is from the "c" version)

So could it be a defective card?

Heres what happened today

- Got all the stuff (super key, SC mini sd, sd card + reader)
- Tested it out, worked great
- Checked the firmware. It was 1.62
- Put the sc_163.bin in my sd card and ran the upgrade.
- when it rebooted, it was the only file
- reset the nds
- sc ran normally, with games this time
- selected a game and it displayed "not an orig sc product, error 014"
- reset, and it didnt work anymore

Sorry but i'm really scared that I just blew my hard earned cash on a fake

If it is not from a approved retailer it could be a fake, and I don't think you want to upgrade it. Hopefully it is real.
