Ya your right the guy hasn't been here since he signed up but im sure he will come here one of these months. I will just keep the DS-Link here waiting for him since it's obvious it mattered so much to him. I mean why set a deadline for someone to claim it when it's obviously much better off sitting on my desk not being enjoyed by anyone. And the Ewin2's were sent and the people verified they recieved them.

Wow. That's wasn't funny. It doesn't matter if he comes here once a week or once a day, he won. I know it is a raffle and if he still doesn't come after quite a while then you would choose another person but it's only been a few days since the winner was announced. Maybe he thinks that the raffle is still going on. I think it would be wise to post the winner on the front page. Also, this was just to raise money for a hard working developer and maybe MeruMeru wasn't even expecting to win. But hey, I'm not the boss, right?

The dude should get his item. A 'backup' drawing should not be done because it was not explicitly stated.  For future raffles, it may be a good idea to put that in writing. you have ### amount of time to claim your prize, you must submit a valid workign form of contact (or maybe a shiping address).  I only state this because I'v done raffles and lotteries in my local church.  And we learned the hard way just like you guys on what rules to put in place
In the end the fault isn't the winner because the rules were nto clearly stated.  I'm mean "probably end it on the 29th" and not even in the main posts is not very official. even if it was stated to end on the 29th on top in big bold letters, there's nothing about a time limit on claiming the prize.  I do agree with the admin that it seems stupid to have it lying on his desk for months.. but there are stupid things and there are wrong things.

just my two cents.. i wish i knew about this auction i woulda bought some tickets.

Yea seriously someone won and give him some time.  I'm guessing your forum master, devs... but please let people know about these gimmicks at the begining of the raffle.

I'm sure admin will put proper rules in next time... but hopefully he makes this right.

No one enjoying it for a couple weeks and mrmerry or whatever recieving it is better than if you redraw and someone that lost, wins.

Umm ya as stated it will sit here. Also he knew the deadline for the raffle as I told him personaly in the chat room the day he signed up. No big deal and no drama needed, it's sitting here where it will remain.
