The Winner Is Merumeru

Decided to do something diffrent than the normal give away. We are doing a raffle for a DS-Link. Info on the unit can be found in the review here: http://www.scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5984  It is a slot 1 mod that uses microSD cards. ALSO http://www.realhotstuff.com/ has donated a Kingston 1gb microSD card to along with it. The tickets for the raffle are $5 a piece. There is no limit to how many you can buy. If you buy 5 then your name goes into the drawing 5 times making your chances of winning better. The raffle is open to anyone worldwide and of course shipping of the unit is free to the winner. ALL procedes from the raffle will be donated to the homebrew developer Lick. He is the creator of DSLiveFTP, DSLiveJournal, and my personal favorite DSLiveWeather. For more information and to check out DSLiveWeather look here: http://www.scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=44186#44186 To buy tickets send a paypal to paypal@scdev.org and include your username in the paypal comments so that I know who to add to the drawing and then reply to this post letting me know you entered so that I don't miss you. This is a chance for us to give back to one of the many homebrew developers that take time out of there personal lives to not only make homebrew for the DS but also share it with the public for free. Lick has done an amazing job on DSLiveWeather and has welcomed input from the public on not only bugs, but also welcomes feature request that people would like to see in future updates. Thanks and good luck to everyone who enters the raffle and a BIG thanks to Lick for the work he does in the DS Homebrew scene!!

Other sites have started to pass the word around about our project so BIG thanks to all the sites who have joined in and supported our effort to give back.

First off, http://www.realhotstuff.com/  has once again stepped up to the plate when it comes to giving back to the community and has donated the 1gb microSD card for the raffle. It's refreshing to see a store like http://www.realhotstuff.com/  who is in buisness not only to make a profit BUT also is one of the first in line to donate products for free to projects like this. You can really tell how much he cares about the scene and not just his wallet like soooo many others.

Thanks to http://gbadev.org/ for hosting sooo many homebrew projects. They are the front runners for having new homebrew apps and games posted on there site. They have an amazing list of GBA dev projects aswell on there site. When getting into the DS/GBA scene this is a MUST first stop on your journey to learning the game.

Thanks to FrozenIpaq the admin from QJ's DS Updates. He was kind enough to allow us to spread the word about this project over at his forums! If you haven't had the chance check out all they have to offer to the scene, do so by visiting there DS news site here: http://ds.qj.net/ and there DS forums here: http://forums.qj.net/f-qjnet-nintendo-ds-forums-69.html/

Jason the admin at http://www.drunkencoders.com/ has helped promote the project on his web site. Be sure to check out http://www.drunkencoders.com/ for ALL the latestes homebrew scene release news.

Shaunj66 the admin of http://gbatemp.net/index.php?act=home has showen his support for the project by passing on the info on his site and also on there news portal. Everyone and there dog goes the http://gbatemp.net/index.php?act=home for the best DS and GBA scene discussion. They cover EVERYTHING so if you haven't checked them out be sure to stop by, you will get hooked!

Brakken the admin at http://www.tehskeen.com/ has shown his support for the project by not only posting the news on his website but also has entered the raffle himself! For some of the best mod reviews be sure to check out his Iso-420 review section here: http://www.iso420.org/reviews.htm He covers everything and the kitchen sink in his reviews so check it before making a mod purchase as it will give you very detailed look at the mod before buying it.

MrShlee from growingly popular http://www.dev-scene.com/Main_Page has also passed on the project info on his site. http://www.dev-scene.com/Main_Page has taken the scence new release in a new direction and made a wiki out of it. They have news on all the newest homebrew scene releases and even inlcude an aswome download section to get all the homebrew. It truely is a 1 stop shop for all your homebrew needs!

Big thanks to Retrohead the admin from http://ds-scene.net/ . He has followed Brakkens lead and not only spread the word about the project at his site, but he has put his money where his heart is and bought 2 tickets himself! Dont forget to check out http://ds-scene.net/ one of the newer scene site thats growing rapidly.

Wraggster from http://nintendo-ds.dcemu.co.uk/ has showen his support now too. This is a major ally for the project as http://nintendo-ds.dcemu.co.uk/ is one of the oldest most respected scene sites on the net. Be sure to check them out not just for DS info but info on all other consoles aswell.

It's great to have allies like them to help better the scene!

Hi everyone! DeVS told me about this raffle and I was positively surprised! I really didn't expect to be rewarded.
I want to thank you all for your support, especially DeVS! I will continue to do my best and create more software for the DS homebrew scene!

I'm really honored,

DevS, This is a great way to use equipment (I assume that was donated) to drum up funds for those who develop great homebrew software. Lick is very deserving of the funds! What a great way to inspire others to do the same, with developing and donating. Just think if other sites did the same.

Lick, welcome to scdev!

DeVS
