forgive me if this was discussed before but i couldn't find it using the search...

I noticed some sites  and reviews(for M3 lite) claim that with the SC lite's  front (or rear) loading of the microSD cards that it's easy for them to fall out...

so my question is : Is this a load of bullshit from haters or actual fact from the players?

My guess is bullshit. I haven't heard such a thing from any SCLite user. Strange how M3 owners worship front loading on their miniSD's but seem to prefer side loading when it comes to their Lite version.

i have one and my gf has one, never had any problem losing it, it's pretty firm in. although i would have prefered to have it like the clicking mechanism on the m3 lite

reason it doesn't click is cause there's nothing for the sc lite cart to click onto on the microsd card, things are so dang tiny

I'm waiting for microsd to arrive right now (already have the SCL), so I can't really contribute to the topic. But what you just said there really took the words outta my mouth.

i personally beleive the above statement, although i could also see it as: people who purchase m3lite are going for higher speed and looks which having side loading gives the full "dust-cover" effect. and the others who go the m3mini could be going towards compatibility with ds and gba units + easy memory card access.

just a thought

That's great, i'm waiting on an SC Lite in the mail... was gonna go with the M3 lite but SC was $20 cheaper and the all the reviews were positive... and i don't play any GBA games.. started worrying when some people were dissing the loading mechanism

One of the first things you'll notice once you get have a MicroSD card in your hand is its so damn tiny and light-weight, that it doesn't really take much pressure to hold it in place, so the odds of it just falling out of the SCLite are pretty much nil.

I could probably take my DSLite in hand with the SCLite in place and swing it around as hard as possible with the GBA slot facing outward to generate as much centrifugal force as possible, and the MicroSD card still wouldn't budge.  Its just not heavy enough.  And there's not really anything for it to snag on to pull it out either.

One word: a sledgehammer. That is what you need in order to force the microSD out.

The front loading is nice since it's soooo damn hard to get the Supercard Lite out of the DS, but I do wish the microSD slot was sping loaded like the M3 Lite. Im not to worried about it coming out. I have turned the DS on it's side and banged it on the table and against my hand pretty hard trying to jar it out but it didn't budge one bit.

Funny  .. on my white Lite, the Supercard Lite was a REAL BITCH to get in and out.  On my new Onyx Lite, it fits VERY nice.  Wonder what the difference is?

And no, so far, the $100 2GB microSD card hasn't fallen out yet.  Seems not as tight, but appears to do the trick.

I would like to buy a 2gb micro, where did you buy yours at?

Mine has never even came close to falling out or is loose, even though i think it is going to (mental issue), it is not loose at all.
