Hi ! I just recently got a Supercard SD and just downloaded some games, but I noticed that some of the games have very long load times for some of the games. Could any one tell me if this is the problem of the rom or is it something else? Thanks !

First off, welcome to scdev!

Which type of games are you loading (DS or GBA), and what type/brand of SD card do you have? Where did you buy your supercard from.

Erm... I have a Mini super card SD. Im loading DS games and I bought IT from a local store. Most of the games I load are fine, Its just that I noticed that for some games there are very long load times (e.g. 1-2mins) but the game runs just fine after that.

you bought it from a store? personally ive never seen supercards sold in stores, but that could just be me, but anyways, make sure your rom positiion patch options for the ds games are patched to the sd and not the supercard, that sounds like what your problem is

Yes, both the settings on the patch are set to SD. So far I have like 10 games on the supercard, and 3 of them have this problem (games have really long loading times, but run just fine), some of my friends have also d'led from the same site and dont have this problem (same games)

What are the games?
Some games are bigger, more so depending if Trim is used.
Although I've never had 1-2 mins loading.

(The DS-Link on the other hand has much greater difference in loading times!)

The games that have this loading problem so far are :

Metroid Prim Hunters (40+mb)
Point Blank DS (less then 10mb)

I dont think its the size of the file though, as i have a game thats 120MB or so and it runs just fine.
