Hey guys. I stopped using supercard for a long time there. I got an m3 minisd and was using that for months. Now I have a new supercard minisd, and I'm glad I now have both.

The supercard is perfect for my gba micro, which travels everywhere with me. I was annoyed at the m3 mini sticking out so much, so I'm looking to fill the supercard with gba stuff and  I want to avoid slowdowns wherever possible.

I got the latest prefetch patcher here, and I'm wondering if it'll help in any way? or was that all coded into the supercard software long ago? Also I do like to use cheats and have savestates in a few games.

Hopefully one of the SC gurus out there'll set me straight on this! =D

if u enable cheats, then the prefetch is useless, since the cheats enable the restart patch wich causes the slowdowns.

however, yes the prefetch does improve the speed for some games.
the only way to save when using prefetch is using the quick power cycle.

What about the battery in the minisd version? doesn't that improve saves?

Surely the need for QPC will be eliminated because of that?

Sword of Mana gets a HUGE speed improvement with the prefetch patch. I was getting huge slowdowns when there were lots of sprites on the screen. Now, none at all. Only drawback is that I like to use cheats but you can't while using the prefetch. But since u don't like to cheat, it shouldn't be a problem. BUT you also can't use savestate either.

I went the other way, I got the newest m3 minisd instead of supercard minisd. The m3 minisd is same size as gba card now, transparent black casing.

I notice a huge speed increase in almost every game, it just play alot smoother. games like gta and mario kart are completely different.
