So, the Lithium Ion battery in the DS has to be drained before recharging to prevent the battery dieing faster right?

Will playing a fully-charged DS connected to the electrical mains supply overcharge the DS?

After the first full drain/recharge cycle it's safe to leave your DS plugged in.
