Finally I just found (and posted) some images of the SD M3.

Thought I'd knock up a rough comparison with the SC!

I'm very disappointed with the size of this thing...

Ramin

lol... and you chose the smallest GBA release to showcase these devices because...?

I think it's a great idea showcasing the relative size of it to the Micro.
Who would want a GBC sized cart sticking out of their svelte Micro :)
I'm very disappointed.  I thought it would be smaller than the CF version.

Ramin

Actually the SD version is 1 cm smaller than the CF, according to Lik-Sang people.

And it doesn't look bad on the DS, which is why I question showcasing it on the Micro.

But, yeah, it's obvious if you've got a Micro, you'd best get a SC, G6, or Play-Yan Micro (if you're after just movies and music).

Radiator

Who cares what it looks like on he DS? Even the CF version doesn't look too obtrusive in the DS.

The only reason size would be an issue would be if you want the thing to be small. And using it with the GBmicro is the main motivation for that.

That's my thinking anyway.

I don't think people who are already happy with CF Supercards would be at all concerned with this, as they're used to having a plastic slab sticking out the end of their GBAs!

The SD stick out of DS using a Supercard?

Hmm this is exactly what I've been talking about on the other forums... this is just mindless fanboyism. Every device has their benefits and downfalls.

There isn't a question about the M3 having better GBA support, and similar support of DS games. The Supercard has better save support (in DS especially) and definitely wins in price.

Just about anything else is nitpicking fanboyism. You don't have to justify your purchase of a super card by attacking M3. Just enjoy what you have, and try to reply with posts without being so biased.

Since I don't have either (yet)  I hope my opinion could be seen as unbiased... the M3 (both versions) are fugly.  To tell the truth, I think the supercard cf is pretty lame too, since I like everything to look as streamlined and close to the original as possible, but the m3 sticks out at least 1/2 way with both versions.  The supercard sd is sweet...  it looks like it just sticks out about 1/2 to 3/4 of a centimeter.  It'd be perfect if they could make it the size of an original GBA cart though...
judging by This Pic it looks like they'd have to shrink EVERY chip to get it that size, so SCSD is the way to go.  At least for neurotics like me   :D
S Setup:

I think the catridge become totally hidden using a GBA, SP or NDS, and SD doesn't stick out too...

Supercard CF has less problems than SD when it comes to media.
And CF cards are about 3/4ths the price of SD cards.

Slippy

Kyo.:  I'm pretty sure it sticks out a tiny bit... the length X width ratio on the SD is bigger than usual gba carts.
exapel:  I don't know if the CF has less problems than SD, but prices are the roughly the same:
512 SD card
512 CF card
Both are kingston, both are around 30 bucks.

1GB SD
1GB CF
Even when capacitys go up, prices are the same, with SD only 5 dollars more.  Kingston isn't even the cheapest out there either...

The CF version of the SC is really flimsy.
Yes the SC SD version still sticks out, but it's not too shabby (maybe 1 cm sticking out).

I have a CF supercard and it is very durable as far as GBA/NDS games go...
