has anybody recieved a ds replacement that has a cracked hinge? or that has become cracked? I just called nintendo today and set up a replacement to be sent to my house. I just wanted to know if that will fix my cracked hinge problem or if it will just occur again

There's a thread detailing others' experience with the cracked hinge, and Nintendo rectifying the issue.

They've all received replacements and the newer issues do not 'click' when opened flat.  The hinge issue seems to have been fixed with the new models.
