I also would like to know as well

I have an xrom 512, works great! But, you cannot get these anymore and would like to buy one for my nephew (a gba cart only) that is easy to use and supports in game cartridge saves, like the ds does or the xrom does?

The ease of use is important for me as my bro is computar illeeterrate.

http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/Category:GBA_Flash_Cards might be useful. Personally I have an EFA2 for gba stuff, extremely happy with it.

I've got a Flash2Advance Ultra 256mbit.  Very good in my opinion.  Has two buttons for quick save and quick load.  They call it 'diehard' for some reason i don't know why... Unfortunately, if you intend to upgrade to a DS, then you need to keep your gba since the DS doesn't have the required port for the transfer cable.

What about buying an EZFlash for a great GBA compability since it supports DS as well. Atm the support seems to be pretty good as well.

EZ Flash 3 is great, had it for the longest time, best cart I've ever gotten.  EZ Flash 4 looks good too.

Hanafuda

Hanafuda family uses EFA-linker carts for GBA. We have a 512 and a 256. Excellent.

I have a 128Mb super FC :( my first card though

It still works great for GBA though it only holds 2 games usually

Get a ez flash. Best in gba.

So the ez flash, is the saves in game saves, like the original cartridge or is it a special button sequence?

tennisgy

MY Super flash card's ad says "EZ Flash Line" so if that is true then yes it saves like normal game.  Unfortunately depending on the save size you can only hold 1 save

Tha is a bummer, my xrom 512 supports all save games (as long as they are save-able), something like 5-10, as well as the goomba game saves.

tennisgy

Mine only holds two goomba max :( but hey it only cost 18 bucks

So would the EZ4 minisd version be about the cheapest removable media solution for 100% gba compatibility and in-game saves? The EZ4 Mini goes for about $40 and 512MB minisd goes for about $12 or 1GB minisd for $20. I'm looking between $52 - $60 total there. Unless anyone can think of anything cheaper or better with the exact same amount of memory or more?

Plus it would be nice for the option for NDS Compatibility down the road but not to sacrifice any gba support at all.

I think I will pick up a EFA 1g for my nephew. The cost is not cheap but want a reliable product for the gba
