I would be leary of wrapping the micro in scotch tape as it is tight now. Doing so, I assume would really stretch it out. Also with the tape, removing in and out may get bits of tape inside and possible cover one of the micro contacts.

Bullshit. Mine fits in very snugly. You can definitely feel a grip on it at the end when you're finished pushing it in as the pins meet the connector. There's no way it would fall out.
