I'm getting error code:05 cf state:50

I tried flashmp and downgraded to 1.52 and then the first thing I did was upgrade again to 1.63 straight from 1.52

It was late at night and I was excited that it was reading my CF again and the upgrade was the only thing I could think of.

Well, of course, its state:50 AGAIN but this time when I downgraded it still gives my state:50

Do you have any help or tips? Is anyone willing to let me ship it to them and see if its fixable?

My Supercard recovery service is free, but I live in the US . . .

NDSL recovery service + Supercard service + more

AWESOME! I'm in the US too!

Ah, that's a really neat list of services you have! That's very kind of you since I know how harrowing it was for me when I bricked my DSLite and had to swap out my friend's BIOS to fix it :)

Could you have a look at my Supercard?

PS: When I turn off my DS and turn it back n quickly, I get a smattering of pixels on the right side of the top screen that still have color on them, but they disappear. It's no big deal but I was wondering if you've seen this phenomenon happen after fixing a bricked DS, or if it affects any DS.

I replyed to your PM regarding service.

I have seen something like that before, a smattering of pixels. The problem was with a SCSD that was having intermittent problems with the SD slot not making proper contact with the SD card.  Wedging a small bit of paper into the SCSD slot to apply slight pressure on the SD card solved the problem.

I was about to mail it off, but then I tired it once more.

I put it in with a CF card that only has the latest UPGRADE.scu on it. When I boot up the SC in GBA mode (because it won't boot in NDS mode) it found the upgrade and asks if I want to. Well I upgraded again, but it still won't boot in NDS mode but it still find the upgrade file. The CF test comes out ok but it says that it cannot find a test file.

This is all on my DS lite, my DS Phat never finds the CF.

Why won't it boot in NDS mode?
Is the Supercard header messed up?
Why does it find the upgrade on the CF on my lite but not my phat?
What is the test file it can't find?
Is any of this fixable?

Don't worry about the SC test file.  If your SCCF works perfectly in your DS phat then the SC isn't the problem.  Did you flash your DS Lite with flashme v7 after you swapped the BIOS? After you put your DS Lite back together did you remove everything from slot1 and slot2 and boot normaly, setting up default preferences? Is your DS booting the supercard with flashme v7, superkey or superpass2?

HeadsUpSevenUp

booting both lite and phat with flashme v7, the Lite is the one that detects the upgrade file on the CF

but it won't boot in NDS mode, does that mean the header of the supercard no longer says "PASS" or something?

Both DSes can run WMB code.

Your DS phat would not boot your Supercard in DS mode if there was a problem with the Supercard firmware/header. I believe the reason your DS Lite detects the upgrade.scu file is because it's booting in GBA mode.  If you boot your DS phat in GBA mode then you would get the same result. I think the real problem is your DS Lite is configured auto boot in GBA mode if something is detected in the GBA slot.  Try holding the START button during power up, or try removing your DS Lite battery for 10 seconds.

^Scratch that.^  When I tested my SCCF with the GBA auto boot feature it didn't behave the way I was thinking it would.  The above advice would not help you.
