The music is ok, but the quality of movie playing, I feel is great!

liquidnitrogen

music plays just like a mp3 player.

movie, sometimes screen will freeze for 1 sec, but all inall pretty smooth... good for showing small video clips. big movies take too long to frame skip.. -.-

I use an ultra II sandisk with no skipping also there are settings you can change to help this see the tutorial and a post I made about skipping/freezing

If your video skips slightly

in the shell folder open global.ini with notepad and you will want to change

Dithering=1  to =0
GOPSkip=1  to =0
AdaptiveDelayControl=1   to =0

so now they say =0 and this will help.

This is from a gbatemp thread, which has helped me out.

good call on the ultra - you won't be sorry

I find the quality of the music playback to be pretty poor on my DS Lite. There's always this loud hissing sound added to everything, making any quality levels above 22 khz a waste of storage space.

For gbs ogg it and nsf it is pretty flawless (spare that some nsfs don't work at all, but it's rare)
Most SPC is spot on, some of them sound a bit scratchy at times, I believe Secret of Evermore suffers from this the most but there are certainly others, and half of them will play fine if you just turn the volume to 100 or below.

Sometimes on the versions I have, moonshell will crash after playing music for a long time, usually inbetween songs.
