Supercard SD questions...

I just purchased a couple of Supercard SD's from Real Hot Stuff.  I noticed that the cards fit very tightly in my wife's GBA.  I really have to force the cart inside the GBA.  Is this the norm?

Also, I downloaded the latest app to allow me to convert ROMs for use by the  Supercard.  The Compress option in the app is greyed out...how do I enable compression?

One more question...how do I check the firmware version on the Supercard SD, and what's the latest version?

1. Yes, its perfectly normal for an SD to be a tight fit. Its one of the earliest Supercard designs.
2. Its currently an unavalible. If you want to use compression you need to download 2.53 to convert your roms, which will run of the latest card's software.
3. When you're booting up your GBA hold L and R.

The one I downloaded was version 2.56...it had the compress option greyed out.  I need to downgrade to 2.53 to use the compress option?

I tried holding the L and R buttons on the GBA when booting up.  All I saw was memory testing status...no firmware version info.  Did I do it wrong?  Thanks.
